An interdisciplinary field, Civic Studies draws heavily from philosophy, history, literary studies, and the social sciences, yet it can reach to any discipline. It educates students to think and act together across differences for the common good, focusing in particular on identifying, evaluating, and resisting unjust systems. The minor includes a civic engagement component.
