The Fine Arts Minor is an organized pathway that promotes further study of the theory, history, and practical application of multiple Fine Arts disciplines. Pursuing the Fine Arts Minor engages students in multiple disciplines to experiment with areas of creative expression that may have previously been outside their own exploration. The minor will strengthen our liberal arts community through dialogue, creation, and performance.
Students who majored in fine arts have gone on to work in a variety of professions, including architecture, education, art therapy, graphic design and the fine arts. Others have gone on to pursue graduate degrees. Upon completion of the Fine Arts Minor, the graduate will be able to:
- Master technical skill to produce artwork in the chosen medium.
- Demonstrate knowledge and understanding of the role of an artist.
- Demonstrate aesthetic awareness and critical judgment of artwork.
