Global Sustainability and Justice is an interdisciplinary program focusing on environmental, economic, and cultural sustainability and advocacy, with concentrations in Environmental Studies; Sustainable Management; Peace, Advocacy, and Justice; and Global Public Health. The major will provide you with intercultural knowledge, experience and tools to create positive change and help to build strong, diverse and sustainable communities.
Global Sustainability and Justice Studies will give you a chance to explore cultural, economic, political, and personal identity and power, to examine and address the fundamental issues facing the world today, and to engage with community organizations to put your passion for social justice into action.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the academic degree in Global Sustainability and Justice Studies, the student will:
- Critically analyze and articulate the interconnections between cultural and environmental sustainability and equity within a multidisciplinary framework.
- Develop language and cultural fluency skills to work within and alongside communities for language revitalization, cultural sustainability, and social justice.
- Engage in experiential, community-based learning to understand and collaborate with grassroots organizations.
- Evaluate, design, and propose solutions connecting local and global challenges.
- Put the core Benedictine principles into practice to advocate for a more just, peaceful, and resilient world.
