The Educational Studies program is a non-licensure program that provides foundational skills that focus on developing and applying fundamental teaching and learning practices to a variety of settings.
This major supports career exploration for those following a field of study allied with education. This may include:
- Corporate training and development
- Youth program directors
- Early childhood education and program administration
- Alternative education
- Career service professionals
- Religious education
- Mission work
- Preparation for advanced study in other fields
Students complete core EDU courses, including a Senior Capstone, combined with coursework in their chosen track. Potential tracks include: Business, CIS, Coaching, Corporate Training, Deaf Language and Culture, Environmental Education, Finance, Outdoor Leadership, Psychology, and Religious Studies. Please note, however, that this major is flexible to accommodate many self-designed tracks.
