The School of Sciences provides excellent training for a variety of careers in biology, biochemistry, chemistry, math and psychology. Additionally, these degrees offer preparation for graduate work in the individual disciplines and for a variety of professional programs including medicine, physical therapy, pharmacy, veterinary medicine, occupational therapy and other health care fields. All programs in the School emphasize ethics, writing, problem-solving and service learning. Research skills are learned through course-based research experiences and opportunities to work with faculty on individual research projects. In addition to the disciplines listed above, opportunities to explore related areas including sociology, gerontology, physics and sustainability.
