Educational Studies, B.A.

Educational Studies is a non-licensure program providing foundational skills that focus on developing and applying teaching and learning practices in a variety of settings. 

This major supports career exploration for those following a field of study allied with education. This may include:

  • Corporate training and development
  • Youth program directors
  • Early childhood education and program administration
  • Alternative education
  • Career service professionals
  • Religious education
  • Mission work
  • Preparation for advanced study in other fields

Students complete core EDU courses, including a Senior Capstone, combined with coursework in their chosen track.  Potential tracks include: Business, CIS, Coaching, Corporate Training, Deaf Language and Culture, Environmental Education, Finance, Outdoor Leadership, Psychology, and Religious Studies. Please note, however, that this major is flexible to accommodate many self-designed tracks.
