The Honors Program prepares civic scholars committed to the pursuit of knowledge that leads to ethical action in their communities and beyond. Courses are designed to challenge students intellectually so that they will become engaged in civic life outside the walls of the classroom. The program emphasizes the exchange of ideas across traditional disciplines and readies students to meet the needs of an ever-changing world. Students have a variety of course offerings from which to choose, many of which can also fulfill General Education (Veritas) requirements so that completion of the program is possible for all majors at the College. In addition to the program requirements listed here, Honors students can minor in Civic Studies through their HON coursework by meeting additional requirements.
