The fully online Computer Science Education Certificate program offers teachers a coherent set of courses in preparation to teach computer science to all K-12 students, including Advanced Placement Computer Science Principles and Computer Science A. Throughout the program, there is a focus on pedagogy and content that meets the needs of all learners and supports teachers in critically examining how to reduce inequities in computer science. Each course in the certificate is aligned to the CSTA Standards for CS Teachers and the K-12 CS Standards for students.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the certificate in Computer Science Education, the student will meet the set of program outcomes within the specialized content/context:
- Apply best practices and effective instructional strategies grounded in current education theory to promote student learning.
- Develop cultural self-awareness and cultural fluency to work effectively with students and communities of diverse backgrounds.
- Engage in the process of inquiry and critical thinking regarding current educational issues and practices.
- Be able to examine and analyze data to make informed instructional student centered decisions.
