The Master of Science in Teaching with the Graduate Teaching Licensure program is designed to meet the requirements of a Master of Science while you are working toward your initial Minnesota teaching license. This means you will be able to enter the teaching profession with a master's degree, giving you more earning potential, better credentials and a full understanding of how to be an effective teacher.

Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the MS in Teaching students will:
- Increase specific academic and professional competencies through research
- Develop an appreciation of knowledge and engage in intellectual stimulus to help ground professional practice in research.
- Understand IRB guidelines for adequately protecting research participants at the institutional, federal, and global levels review research studies to ensure that they comply with applicable regulations, meet commonly accepted ethical standards, follow institutional policies, and adequately protect research participants.
- Examine the concepts of inquiry and ideation to address a problem of practice.
- Apply inquiry and ideation to a Mini-Problem of Practice for equity outcomes.

Students can transfer six credits from an accredited institution that are education-related that will be applied toward the professional studies elective. Transfer credits must have been earned within seven years.
