The Elementary Education program provides students with a firm foundation in the knowledge, skills and disposition required to be successful in an elementary school classroom. Students are placed in a classroom setting early and often, developing a host of required skills that must be practiced as well as learned. Graduates are eligible to apply for Minnesota teacher licensure for grades K-6.
It is recommended that all Elementary Education students have a minor in an area of their interest. All students planning to major in Elementary Education should have an advisor from the Education department.
