Post Graduate Healthcare Leadership D.N.P.

The Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree at The College of Saint Scholastica prepares future nursing leaders with the knowledge and skills necessary to lead health care change and advance population health at the highest levels of nursing practice. The Department of Nursing offers two DNP degree options: Baccalaureate to Doctor of Nursing Practice (BSDNP) and a Post-Graduate DNP.

The Post-Graduate DNP is for students with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and a Master's degree in nursing, or a related field. Requirements include online courses with synchronous and asynchronous webinars. Candidates for the DNP degree at CSS complete 500 practice hours related to the DNP Essentials. Practice hours align with the scholarly doctorate project and individual professional goals in leadership, diversity, business, policy, information technology, and population health. The program can be completed in 4 full-time semesters.
