The Natural Sciences Major offers an opportunity for students to explore a breadth of courses in Biology, Chemistry, Math and Physics. Students are encouraged to work closely with their academic advisor to develop a plan to meet their career goals. The school major may be good preparation for an entry-level position in the sciences or entry into some graduate programs, particularly in the health professions. The B.A. in Natural Sciences does not provide sufficient depth to prepare for graduate study in any natural sciences discipline.

Learning Outcomes
Students who complete a degree in Natural Sciences will:
- Understand the broad relationships and connections among the disciplines studied.
- Understand the most basic and essential principles of at least one discipline.
- Communicate their analysis of a problem or evaluation of a proposition accurately and intelligibly from the view of a natural or social scientist.

Students must achieve the following program requirements for all courses listed under Program Requirements and Program Required Courses for the Natural Sciences Major.

Major Residency Credits: 16
Minimum GPA: 2.0
Minimum Grade: C-
Program Required Courses
36 total credits in BIO, CHM, MTH, NSC, or PSC with the following distribution:
- Twenty credits must be earned in one natural science discipline
- Sixteen credits must be at the 3000 level or higher
- Balance of the credits selected from any of the natural science disciplines
